eMaktab is a free online learning platform covering grades 1–11 with 3,574 lessons across 79 subjects — built by one developer, funded by no one, for every student in the country.
Students in the capital, Dushanbe, have access to private tutors, prep courses, and quality resources. Students in rural districts — Murghab, Ishkoshim, Vanj — have none of that.
A complete, free, Tajik-language school platform — covering the full national curriculum from grade 1 to grade 11.
Every student deserves a tutor who speaks their language. eMaktab's AI answers questions, explains concepts, and helps students work through problems — in Tajik.
Students type any question about their lesson — a math problem, a grammar rule, a history event — and the AI responds clearly in Tajik. It remembers the conversation context, so follow-up questions work naturally.
Available from any device, no login required for basic access. The AI is powered by the Gemini model, routed through a secure server-side proxy so no API keys are ever exposed to the student.
eMaktab was designed, built, and maintained entirely by Bahrom Ashurov — a student from Tajikistan with no team, no funding, and no institutional backing.
Every lesson was curated. Every subject was structured. The platform was built from scratch as a single-page web application, with an offline-first architecture so it works even where internet is unreliable.
The AI tutor — the first to respond in the Tajik language — was integrated as a secure server-side proxy, so students in rural schools can ask questions without exposing any API credentials.
The goal is simple: every student in Tajikistan, regardless of where they live or how much their family earns, should have access to the same quality of education.
Free for every student in Tajikistan. No sign-up required to browse. Open the platform and start learning.
